Looking For a Home For the World's Largest Painting

WINSTON-SALEM, NC.- Ken Wilson Sr. is looking for a home for a legendary cyclorama. The painting measures 376 feet long and 22 feet high. Wilson believes it is the world's largest painting. It depicts the battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. Ten years ago it was appraised for $2.5 million. Artist Joe King looked for a place for it until he died in 1996. The painting is currently stored at Wake Forest University. The painting was created by Philippe Philippoteaux.
