NEW YORK, NY.- Adventures in Art today announced its upcoming Jewellery Seminar at this year’s London Masterpiece, “Glittering Objects and Brilliant People.” The day’s program, curated by leading jewelry historian Amanda Triossi, includes discussions with thought-leaders in today’s jewelry worlds renowned jewelry historians, top designers, knowledgeable dealers, discerning collectors and experienced reporters – as well as a lecture by Triossi.

"We are thrilled to have been invited to host a jewellery seminar at Masterpiece,” said Karen Stone Talwar, Adventures in Art Founder and CEO. “I founded my company on introducing travelers to the world’s best art, and finely-designed jewelry qualifies as an art form in and of itself.”

Amanda Triossi added, “Our objective is to demystify jewellery investment by introducing participants to the very best. I am convinced attendees will leave with knowledge they can put to practical use for a long time to come, having been exposed both to the finest jewels on the market today and to a number of ‘brilliant’people known for true connoisseurship.”

Masterpiece London has long been a must-attend event offering museum-quality works with superb provenance from sources worldwide, jewellery being no exception.

Talwar and Triossi have thoughtfully designed “Glittering Objects and Brilliant People”to enhance appreciation of the items on show for both connoisseurs and newcomers by exploring the breadth, quality and range offered at Masterpiece 2016 and providing introductions to category influencers.

The day’s structure will be a stimulating, easily paced learning event, broken down as follows:

Morning: jewellery lecture by Amanda Triossi in which the historical context of important jewels on exhibition is brought to life by including accompanying documentation and comparative material. Questions such as: “why a jewel is of specific value”, “which details illustrate the very best workmanship” and “how does one find hidden features of great importance” will be answered.

Luncheon: catered onsite by Urban Caprice*, will provide an opportunity to meet informally to discuss the morning lecture and to answer further questions.

Afternoon: short conversations/interviews with Masterpiece exhibitors led by the Adventures in Art team will provide the opportunity for a variety of individual insights and shared behind-the-scenes experiences.

Followed by: a discussion on contemporary collecting trends with representatives very much “in the know” … jewellery press, trend-setters, and collectors. Context being a key determinate of value, jewels at a number of price points will be isolated, along with examinations of the reasons they are particularly sought after.

Finale: a champagne reception to mingle with a new network of jewellery aficionados.

All-in-all: Adventures in Art is featuring a destination event for jewellery enthusiasts from around the world. Cost: 550 GBP ($775) inclusive of One Seminar Admission, Lunch, Champagne Reception and 2 Masterpiece London 2016 Admissions
