Dear artdaily, I was wondering what the process was for pitching stories for artdaily? I co-run roaming projects, an itinerant art gallery and project space showcasing contemporary art. Our current site is in Kings Cross, London. We are putting on our second exhibition of Sasha Litvintseva's video work in mid- March. I was wondering what the process was to either get the exhibition reviewed/ featured etc? Do let me know who I can send over our press release and more details. Kindest Regards, Emily Lean @roamingprojects www.roamingprojects.com

Interesting Laura Gilpin is finally getting her due in the proper 'venue'. I worked for her the last five years of her life, just now finishing a book on the subject. Everything else written about her is from research, a good perspective of course, as is my writing. As for her being 'one of the first in platinum printing revival', platinum was nowhere near gone when she began photographing. Commercial platinum papers were available at the time and she used them with wonderful result, along with developing her hand coating process. Gertrude Kasebier was already well-known for platinum work, Laura Gilpin met her when Kasebier photographed her, her mother and brother. If you are interested in announcement about my book please give me name and address, I will be glad to send you information, hopefully by mid spring.

Hi there, I recently stumbled upon this blog through my network on Facebook and I was immediately interested in exploring it. I'm happy to see a wide variety of articles, which made me wonder if you're looking for contributors who cover the more practical aspects of what it's like to be a young emerging artist in the contemporary world. Shortly about myself: I am a self-taught artist in every sense of the word and I write and self-publish articles every time I have an exhibition or collaborate with people etc. So I write about the growing aspect of being an artist while managing life. Let me know if this sounds interesting to you and if you'd like to collaborate? Cheers, Iskra

Hi ArtDaily.com, Pleasure to meet you via email! I am with Content.ad and we are one of the top networks in the native ad space and are looking to expand our publisher base. We currently have over 15,000 publishers and are always looking for more with high quality sites like yours. I wanted to send a quick note to you as I noticed you were running Taboola native ad units to monetize your site. I would love to learn more about the CPMs and revenue those placements are generating for you and come up with a proposal that will be able to beat the performance of your current configuration. Are you free this week for a quick call to discuss further? I am free Thursday or Friday this or next week PST. In the Friday, January 27 issue of the ArtDaily Newsletter, under "Best Photo of the Day" is an image of a Marsden Hartley painting. The caption reads: "In a continuation of Eli Wilner & Company's latest philanthropic efforts, an exceptional frame has been crafted for the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art at Hamilton College. In this image: Alpspitze, Mittenwald Road from Gschwandtnerbauer, c. 1933. Oil on cardboard. 17 9/16 x 29 9/16 in. (44.6 x 75.1 cm). Collection of the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum at Hamilton College. Gift of James Taylor Dunn, Class of 1936. Framed by Eli Wilner & Company." But NOWHERE in this piece is the name of the artist of this beautiful painting. That is a sorry oversight and very poor editing of your newsletter.

I have had my art stolen and sold. I am very small time (www.facebook.com/astralmimi) and I struggle to even sell my own art. I was very upset then when I found my work was being sold by a company called Mackitek. Since 2015, I contacted them and while at first I received an apology as soon as I mentioned being compensated in some form for the blatant theft and resale of my art. They turned nasty, telling me they sold only four (Which I find hard to believe) and will send me a FREE set as compensation...(She emphasized the fact I wouldn't have to pay postage as if I should be super grateful...) Then told me option two was I can fuck off. This shows just how easy companies feel it is to take and profit from small guys like me. I have screen shots of the sale of my work and the rude messages I got in response. Able to provide anything else required. I also have a public facebook thread about this. I feel I have no real other course of g awareness.

Dear Art Daily I am an artist living and working in the UK, having spent many years in the USA being mentored by a Native American Indian, becoming immersed in the Indian culture and ancient rock art symbolism. These symbols resonate with many of the global environmental and personal challenges we face in todays world and they are a central component to my art in the Soul Shaker series - you can view the work here: http://gordonellisbrown.com/soul-shaker.html I have had several pieces accepted and hung in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London. I am now looking to further promote my work in the UK and internationally and am reaching out to organisations and individuals who may have a specific interest. I would appreciate and welcome any advice, thoughts and feedback on where I can gain representation for my work and whether Art Daily could support in any capacity. The more important exhibition at the World Chess Hall of Fame is "Animal Vegetable Mineral" -- in which the Dean collection of Chess Sets serves as the foundation for a history of chess playing, as seen through the materials from which chess sets are made. And aside from the examples in Marble, Amber, Wood, Metal, Glass and more, we see how the materials get turned into pieces -- the tools and methods, along with videos of the artisans at work. It turns out to be a history and a celebration of hand craft and art. and like chess itself, becomes an allegory for art and life, for power and creativity, for strategy and forthrightness, for life. Suggest you guys look again. The Curator, Larry List is an international expert on Chess and Surrealism. His original "Imagery of Chess" exhibition for the Noguchi Museum is the foundation for the "Imagery of Chess" show now at the World Chess Hall of Fame. CHECK IT OUT

GLLERY will be the first online social art gallery in Europe. It is a place where artists and art lovers are brought together. Hello, I just finished building a life-sized skeleton made entirely of graphite (pencil), 209 fully-articulating bones. It makes impressions of itself on paper as it slowly disappears in the process. A metaphor of the ephemeral nature of life, it reminds us to live life fully. I am a regular reader of ArtDaily.org! I thought you might be interested my work and my show that just opened a few days ago in San Francisco. I hope you find my work interesting and that you may consider featuring it on your site. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me directly. Hello -- I daily read your publication and wonder, if I missed any article on the recent death of Edgar Munhall? Mr. Munhall was the first curator of The Frick Collection from 1965-2000; then as curator emeritus. He was internationally known as an expert on the 18th-Century French painter Jean-Baptiste Greuze; curated several exhibitions of the artist's works. He was recognized by the French government for his work in promoting French culture. Edgar Munhall, born March 14, 1933, died in Manhattan from pancreatic and lung cancer on Monday October 17, 2016. I hoped artdaily.org would recognized Edgar Munhall's passing due to his role in growing The Frick Collection, considered by many to be one of the top ten world museums, and his intense dedication to art research and history. If I missed one, please send me a copy. For ten years I was Edgar's assistant and first registrar of TFC, so I worked directly with him and saw his expertise.

The level of your articles (toped by the silliness of your "The best photo of the day" what does it have to do with art news?) is getting worse and worse. Like so many other web magazines your texts are full of typos. I'm more and more disappointed with artdaily.org, I must say!

The assumption that Greek artists played any role in teaching style to Chinese sculptors in the days of the creation of the terra-cotta army, is ill founded, I believe. True, Egyptian sculptural style had a definite role and influence in the Greek development of a realistic artistic style, but the Greeks contented themselves with the production of their religious and cultural history without any idea of artistic proselytizing elsewhere, especially in a culture older than their own. looking at the two depictions of three dimensional art, I see absolutely no commonality. China can be proud of it's artistic achievement with the terra-cotta warriors
