PALM DESERT, CA.- Claude Monet’s 1885 oil Pots de Tulipes was among the traditional and contemporary sales at the Heather James Fine Art booth at Spring Masters New York, taking place May 8-12.

Amid the city’s week of art fairs and auctions, which included a record-setting Picasso sale at Christie’s, Heather James exhibited at the second edition of Spring Masters New York, presenting a selection of paintings and sculpture that reflect the gallery’s breadth of historical and contemporary pieces.

In addition to the Monet, the gallery sold oil paintings by the French artist Emile Munier (A Boy Holding a Branch of Berries, 1877) and the Italian artist Max Pellegrini (Il Bacio del Principe, 2002-2009).

Unfolding at the historic Park Avenue Armory, Spring Masters New York offers exceptional works of art and design from antiquity through the 21st century and across cultures and geographic regions.

Heather James showed a cross-section of Impressionist, Modern, postwar, and contemporary works by Maria Blanchard, Fernando Botero, Mary Cassatt, Salvador Dali, William Glackens, Joseph Kleitsch, Henri Matisse, Thomas Nozkowski, Sean Scully, Andy Warhol, and Andrew Wyeth.

Heather James Fine Art offers a rare look into art history’s past and present, featuring a wide breadth of genres, including cultural art and antiquities, American and Latin American masters, European masters, Impressionist and Modern, postwar and contemporary, and photography. The gallery showcases blue chip and cutting-edge contemporary art while maintaining the integrity of antiquity and classical masterpieces.

Heather James Fine Art has two galleries, one in Palm Desert, California, and the other in Jackson, Wyoming. For more information about the gallery and upcoming exhibitions, visit www.heatherjames.com or contact the Palm Desert Gallery at 760-346-8926.
