Liene Mackus and Artūrs Arniss exhibition Winter Sleep is being shown at the LCCA Office Gallery
from March 16th to April 10. Using the language of sculpture, sound and scenography, they have created their own story about sleep as a unique state of consciousness, which allows one to come closer to feelings that are not accessible while awake.
Artists characterized the exhibition in the following way: The works of the exhibition Winter Sleep is about a reality that has been pushed aside, which takes shape in our state of sleep. The world of sleep is shaped from details grounded in life, which metamorphosize and take on another emotional and visual scale, which usually in a state of wakefulness is not accessible. It is on one hand a deep and individual experience, and on the other hand one that is collective and shows best the human condition.
