Jay Gorney and Anne Doran will curate a special exhibition, entitled If I Had Possession over Judgment Day. The show will bring together works by five artists, Melvin Way (b. 1954), Emery Blagdon (1907–1986), Adolf Wölfli (1864–1930), Mark Lombardi (1951–2000), and the Philadelphia Wireman (20th century), whose lives span three centuries and whose practices incorporate disparate media, from batteries to ballpoint pen. A keen sense of paranoia unites the artists. Their works, made to control chaos or ward off disaster, serve a talismanic purpose, whether medicinal, protective, instructive, wishful, or cathartic.

"The Outsider Art Fair remains the singular event to see works by both celebrated and newly discovered self-taught artists from around the world," said Rebecca Hoffman, Director of the Outsider Art Fair.
