Pérez Art Museum Miami announces Jeff Krinsky as Board of Trustees President

MIAMI, FL.- Pérez Art Museum Miami has named Jeff Krinsky president of its board of trustees, and has appointed seven new trustees to the board as well as a new docent president. Krinsky replaces Gail Meyers, who saw the museum through the opening of its new, Museum Park facility. The seven new trustees are: T. Christian Armstrong, Chloe Berkowitz, Manuel A. Diaz, John Fumagalli, Laura Kaplan, Daniel Koffsky and David Martin. Rosie Gordon-Wallace will serve as president of the PAMM Docent Association.

Jeff Krinsky is the managing principal of Panther Capital Management, LLC. Panther is a diversified Miami-based real estate company active in the ownership of commercial and residential property and has a long history of directly owning, developing, redeveloping, repositioning and operating real estate in joint ventures with a broad cross-section of capital partners. He is also a principal of Carmichael Hospitality Partners, LLC, a South Florida-based venture that focuses on the ownership and adaptive re-use of full and limited service hotels. Krinsky holds a Master of Science degree in real estate development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Tufts University.

T. Christian Armstrong is the co-founder Life’s Next Steps, a company that offers nonfinancial lifestyle planning workshops for the “generation that won’t settle for an ordinary retirement.” He also serves as a member of the advisory board at The Mutual Fund Store®, a nationally branded, independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) organization and is a Senior Advisor for Branded Cultures; a firm focused on helping firms differentiate themselves through leveraging the values and strengths on which their culture is based. Both Armstrong and his wife, Suzanne, are involved and active members of PAMM’s Collectors Council.

Chloe Berkowitz is an art historian and collector of contemporary art. Her professional experience in the art industry includes: assisting with exhibition research at Miami Art Museum (now Pérez Art Museum Miami) and Mark Borghi Fine Art, Bridgehampton, NY; assisting with registration and cataloguing art works at Miami Art Museum; assisting with the renewal and preservation of historical photographs at the Jewish History, New York City, NY; and serving as event liaison for Mark Borghi Fine Art, Basel, Miami. She currently serves as founder and director of Fairholme Unlimited and interns for Sotheby's Contemporary Department in New York, as she completes coursework for a Bachelor of Fine Art at the University of Miami.

Manuel A. Diaz, former city of Miami Mayor and a force in local, state and national politics for nearly three decades, serves as senior partner at Lydecker Diaz practicing corporate and real estate law. Manny Diaz served two terms as City of Miami Mayor beginning in 2001, and was chosen to lead the United States Conference of Mayors as its president in 2008. During his two-term tenure at City of Miami Mayor, Diaz was recognized for completely transforming the City of Miami, and for many nationally recognized innovative programs in the areas of urban design, sustainability and green initiatives, education, infrastructure investment, affordable housing, law enforcement, poverty and homelessness, and arts and culture. Mayor Diaz developed a vision for Miami as an international City that embodies diversity, economic opportunity, effective customer service and a highly rated quality of life. Diaz serves on a wide range of commissions, task forces, and cultural, educational and volunteer boards including Miami Foundation and Kennedy School of Government. He has been recognized as one of America’s Best Leaders by US News and World Report. Diaz also served as a Resident Fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Politics in 2010 and is the author of his recently released book, Miami Transformed: Rebuilding America One Neighborhood, One City at a Time.

John Fumagalli brings over 25 years of experience in commercial and private banking in his position of chairman and CEO of Northern Trust in Florida. He holds the responsibility for managing the company’s investment management, trust and estate planning, private and business banking and financial consulting business in Florida. Fumagalli received his bachelor’s degree in economics from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester Massachusetts and a master’s degree from Northwestern University. John serves on the Foundation Boards for Naples Community Hospital, Florida Gulf Coast University, the Community Foundation of Collier County, and The Miami Foundation. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Palmer Trinity School and the Perez Art Museum Miami. He is a member of the Board of and the Council of Advisors of Searching For Solutions, Inc. and a member of The Forum Club of Southwest Florida.

Laura Kaplan received her bachelor’s degree in Mandarin and economics from Wellesley College and her master’s in international business studies in finance and Mandarin from the University of South Carolina. Residing in Coral Gables, Laura is actively involved in the United Way of Miami Dade as a Tocqueville board member. She is also a member of the Women’s Leadership Council and previously chaired the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Professional Advisory Committee as well as served as a member of the board. She is currently a managing director/private client advisor with U.S. Trust and is passionate about the financial empowerment of women.

Daniel Koffsky is the founder and principal of Skyline Management Group, a Miami based project and construction management firm that represents owners, investors and institutions in the development of commercial and multi-family real estate. He is also a principal of Skyline Development Partners, a real estate development partnership that develops, acquires and repositions office and multi-family projects located in Miami, San Francisco and Pittsburg. Koffsky was a member of the PAMM construction oversight committee during the construction of the new museum.

David Martin is the president and co-founder of Terra Group, a Miami-based leader in high-rise development and new home construction in South Florida. As a recognized leader in the real estate industry, Martin’s expertise resides in the active involvement and cultivation of relationships in charitable, civic, arts and cultural organizations. He remains acutely aware of how our environment defines us, as much as we define it. Martin graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s in business administration and law degree, with a concentration in land use and planning.

Rosie Gordon-Wallace will serve as PAMM Docent Association president. She is the founder, director and curator of Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator and Diaspora Vibe Gallery which specializes in Caribbean and Latin American Art with emphasis on emerging Caribbean artists. Formally a licensed medical microbiologist and former Senior Consultant for Searle Pharmaceuticals, Gordon-Wallace decided in 1999 to fully devote herself full time to the incubator she created and developed. She is also an active community member serving on the boards of diverse organizations such as The National Performance Network and Visual Artist Network and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County.
