MILAN.- Andrea Lissoni, curator of Pirelli HangarBicocca since 2011, has been appointed as the Film and International Art Curator of Tate Modern in London. He will take up the post in March 2014. Lissoni will maintain his role at Pirelli HangarBicocca, continuing to work with Artistic Advisor Vicente Todolí on the arts programme, and curating the exhibitions of works by Micol Assaël, Céline Condorelli, Joan Jonas and Philippe Parreno.

“I’m really happy to be joining the staff at Tate Modern in London, while also being able to continue my work with Pirelli HangarBicocca, curating the exhibitions until 2015. The two posts will allow me to contribute both to the activities of one of the most prestigious institutions in the world of art and to those of an Italian institution which, partly as a result of its international outlook, I am proud to say has become a leading player in Italy and abroad”, said Andrea Lissoni.
