NEW YORK, NY.- LiveAuctioneers, the premier live-auction marketplace connecting buyers and sellers worldwide, today announced the appointment of Olga Bartnicki to the position of chief revenue officer.

Bartnicki is an entrepreneur with a solid track record in business operations, finance and technology. She has been a part of early-stage management teams at a number of start-ups, including LiveLOOK, a live-help company; MusicICON, an online music company; and SafeScript, an e-prescription business. In addition, Olga has advised on launch and growth strategy to several start-ups including BlueFin, LiveGamer, Bedrocket, Democracy and GuideVest.

Bartnicki served as an associate, and later, vice president at Allen & Company, a media and entertainment investment bank, where she executed mergers and acquisitions, and performed due diligence on venture investments.

Prior to her tenure with Allen & Company, Bartnicki served as new business development manager for Modern Times Group (MTG), a major European media and entertainment conglomerate with the second-largest geographical broadcast footprint in Europe. At MTG, Barnicki launched new ventures in emerging markets.

Bartnicki’s educational background includes earning a Master of Science degree in telecommunication from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

“LiveAuctioneers has maintained an entrepreneurial spirit throughout its more than ten years of operation,” said Bartnicki. “I am excited to be joining their talented team and look forward to launching new products and leading effective initiatives focused on bidder and seller audience growth.”

Commenting on Olga Bartnicki’s appointment to the newly created post, LiveAuctioneers CEO Julian R. Ellison said, “We’ve been working with Olga over the past year on a consultancy basis, and we’re all delighted that she has agreed to join us full time and help us achieve our short- and long-term goals.”

Bartnicki will be based at LiveAuctioneers’ US headquarters in New York City’s Chelsea district.
