NEW YORK, NY.- Bonhams has appointed Kathryn L. Steckler as a Director in Trust & Estates, based in the New York office. Ideally equipped for the role, she brings more than 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams while working at both renowned art museums and international finance firms.

Ms Steckler's in-depth understanding of institutions and financial markets allows her to navigate both the art world and the corporate world with equal aplomb. She began her career working for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as a Senior Development Officer. During her tenure, the Museum of Fine Arts Council underwent a vital restructuring as a direct result of the efforts she initiated and directed. Ms Steckler was subsequently appointed the Vice President of Sponsorships and Director of the MFS Charitable Foundation for MFS Investment Management in Boston. In this role she led and managed corporate sponsorships from inception to execution as well as the firms philanthropic endeavors.

Ms Steckler relocated from Boston to New York after accepting a position with the Royal Academy in their American Associates Headquarters as the Director of Corporate Sponsorships and Special Events. She oversaw domestic and international strategic initiatives and built the North American platform for Corporate Sponsorships. Prior to joining Bonhams Ms Steckler also held a senior marketing position at Morgan Stanley and worked for BNP Paribas where she spearheaded the Global Equities, Commodities and Derivatives Corporate Access offerings. She oversaw a $2MM strategic marketing and corporate event budget.

A proven leader in building strategic initiatives, Ms Steckler will focus on expanding Bonhams Trust & Estates presence throughout the East Coast. As a Director, she will develop relationships with trust and estate attorneys, trust officers, wealth managers, certified public accounts as well as other fiduciary and professional advisors through the highest standards of service by capitalizing on Bonhams unique flexibility.
