Creative Visionary Ivy Ross Joins Art.com Inc. as Chief Merchandising Officer


EMERYVILLE, CA.- Art.com Inc., (www.art.com) the world's leading online specialty provider of wall art, today announced that Ivy Ross has joined the company as Chief Merchandising Officer. Ross, who comes to Art.com Inc. from Gap Inc., will lead worldwide merchandising, branding and public relations for the company's three brands—Art.com, AllPosters.com and ArtistRising.com.

"Ivy Ross is a world class talent with a proven track record in helping companies use creative approaches to really innovate and grow their businesses, and we are thrilled to have her join the Art.com team," said Geoffroy Martin, CEO of Art.com Inc.

Before joining Art.com Inc., Ross was Executive Vice President of Marketing for the Gap brand at Gap Inc., where she was responsible for developing marketing strategy, advertising, visual merchandising, store design, creative services and public relations. While at Gap, Ross was responsible for the launch of the 1969 denim brand leveraging advertising, social media, bricks and mortar retail and PR to elevate and re-energize the brand's heritage as a denim leader.

Prior to Gap Inc. Ross was Chief Creative Officer for Disney Stores North America, where she was responsible for product innovation. She has also held senior creative and product design positions at several of the world's leading consumer brands, including Mattel, Calvin Klein, Coach, Liz Claiborne, Swatch Watch and Avon.

In addition to her business experience, Ross is an accomplished and widely exhibited jewelry designer with pieces in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institute, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York.
