SAN SEBASTIAN, SPAIN.- DFOTO 2005, The Second International Contemporary Photography and Video Fair will take place April 14 - 17, 2005 at Kursaal San Sebastián. The fair was organized by Fundación Centro Ordóñez-Falcón de Fotografía (COFF). This Fair, the first year of which was an enormous success with over 12,000 visits from the general public and specialised critics, will this year invite 40 national and international galleries to participate in the event.

Given interest awakened by last year's fair and its results, almost all of the participating galleries have asked to repeat the experience alongside newly selected guest national and international organisations, such as Magnum (Paris), Scout (London), ADN and PROJECTESD (Barcelona), Silk Road (Iran), Marzana (Bilbao), Springer & Winckler (Cologne), Flatland Gallery (Utrecht), Ad Hoc (Corunna), Arnés y Röpke (Madrid-Cologne), Gilles Peyroulet & Cie (Paris) or Marvelli (New York). This year's DFOTO will yet again attract large numbers of visitors, including directors of museums and cultural institutions, collectors, exhibition curators and lovers of two artistic expressions, photography and video, representing 21st Century art.

A complete programme for collectors will attract visitors while converting Donostia-San Sebastián into a reference as far as image is concerned, promoting and creating a perfect atmosphere for private, institutional and corporate collecting.

This year, DFOTO will open a new area dedicated to the sale of photograph prints, catalogues and reviews intended to foster knowledge and disseminate this artistic tendency. A number of activities will similarly be organised to coincide with DFOTO.
