Waves of Grace: Artists for Tsunami Relief Art Auction



LOS ANGELES, CA.- Waves of Grace: Artists for Tsunami Relief Art Auction will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2005, 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the George J. Doizaki Gallery, Japanese American Cultural and Community Center. The M.A. Center is proud to announce Waves of Grace, a silent and live auction featuring artwork donated by dedicated artists assisting the tsunami relief and recovery effort.

On Saturday evening, April 2, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., in the elegant George J. Doizaki Gallery, you will view for silent and live bidding a wide array of art genres and media - from small wood block prints on handmade Tibetan rice paper, to Japanese calligraphy to photography to skater art to abstract monotypes to textural paintings.

Artists include Bruce Yonemoto, Paige Saez, C. W. Slade, Jeff Soto, Ray Caesar, Maya Hayuk, Elliot Elgart, Sam Amato, Gary Paller, Oksana Badrak, Helen K. Garber, Elizabeth Tobias, Steve Olson, Sophie Dia Pegrum, Eva Hyam, Fumiko Amano, Colleen Flynn-Lawson, and many, many more. The proceeds will be donated to the M.A. Center's Tsunami Relief Fund. M.A. Center is a California nonprofit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
