How does Marijuana influence your creativity?

Through the centuries, people read and admired many novel and works of art, which were created under the influence of drugs or other substances. Many people felt blue when found out that their favorite writers, artists or musicians were drug-obsessed or at least dabbled in illicit substances. Due to these facts, some people believe that marijuana can stimulate your brain to create something beautiful and pleasant. Mainly, they think, this may work if you are a talented person. Steve Jobs, for instance, claimed that smoking cannabis was for him a way to feel creative and relaxed. He was a famous person, so his words might have influenced many people. On the other hand, there exist people, who know that drugs destroy the human brain and make a person slow, sick and a bit not sane. They also consider drugs as the world evil and think that it is impossible to control people, who take drugs. They are afraid of any person holding herbal vaporizer. Many men, many minds.

All people have some views on drugs. Taking marijuana for medical purposes is rather a different question. Scientists also discuss the effects of this drug. The signs and symptoms of marijuana use may be both physical and behavioral. The material is bloodshot eyes, increased heart rate, being sleepy and lethargic, problems with coordination, and high crave for food. As for actions, the characteristics are confusion, lack of focus, talkativeness, doing usual activities, misjudging time and some secretiveness. To detect marijuana user, look for the signs above. The conventional ways of consuming marijuana might be a pill, marijuana vape pen, capsule, dabbing, bong, bubbler, joint, blunt, marijuana vaporizer, spray, etc. be aware of what people you know might use. The way you take this drug indicates the time of its action and the possible effects.

What changes take place in our brain after we take cannabis?
The actual influence of cannabis is stimulating brain cells so that they produce chemical dopamine. If you use best dry herb vaporizer, you would feel the effect of marijuana immediately. If you take it with food (pills or something), you might have to wait several hours to feel ‘high’. Many people feel hungry after taking cannabis. We can explain this increase of appetite by the impact of the stuff on the human’s brain. This and many other possible effects of marijuana varies from person to person because of the individual characteristics of each organism. Marijuana is the most popular illicit substance by data of 2011. Actually, the research reports that cannabis use may cause cognitive and psychomotor impairments. They are, for example, increased risk of accidents if you drive after being intoxicated or integrating complex information.

Can cannabis really influence your creativity and what way?
Many experts would refuse to answer this question, because ‘there are not complete researches and enough literature on the inter-influence of marijuana and creativity; also nobody indicated the mechanisms that stimulate creativity’. Although, there exists a theory that psychotomimetic symptoms produced by cannabis in your blood may trigger the ability to combine unrelated to each other things. Concepts, colors, etc. This ability is a constituent of divergent thinking.

● What is the theoretical basis?

The creative process appears when we use at least one of the following processes:
Divergent thinking is a process, which helps to generate a list of possible solutions to some problematic situation (e.g., brainstorming). For measuring the level of this thinking, people are to complete the Alternate Uses Test. This test presupposes that you have to make up as many uses for usual things (e.g., a fork or a towel) as possible in some indicated period (usually one minute).

Convergent thinking is a process, which is something opposite. This may resemble a ‘multiple choice’ test at school. You have to judge a finite number of possible solutions and choose the correct one. For measuring the level of this thinking, people are to complete the Remote Associates Test, which presupposes thinking of one word, which is related to three others unrelated to each other. The example for this might be Sleeping, Bean, Trash and the answer word is Bag.

● What are the real researches and their results?
There exist several opinions about the influence of smoking weed vaporizer filled with cannabis and creativity. First is that drug can decrease our inhibitions, which prevents us from harsh self-criticism, which is peculiar to each person. This allows to overcome the ‘fear of blank sheet’, which is a fear to start doing something from scratch or we may call it simply – the fear of creation. The test of divergent thinking, published in the journal Consciousness and Cognition, showed that cannabis users might show more creativity that non-users, BUT cannabis is not a creativity booster. They proved that marijuana plant’s chemicals do not stimulate those parts of the brain that make us think creatively. It is only our vision of ourselves. An innocuous medication. People, who smoked weed vaporizer just thought marijuana would help them to be more creative and that was the real reason. They riled themselves up and showed the results of being creative. Scientists claim that the effects of cannabis depend on the personality of the potentially creative person. Some sensitive people may get advantages from marijuana usage. However, those, who already are in the right vein, may become laid-back, which will harm the process of creativity.

Experts still say that drugs can have some particular influence on the process of creativity and probably unlock the power of inspiration. Some people can recommend marijuana to overcome the fear of creation because ‘brain deficiency’ requires drugs, and creativity expects this ‘brain deficiency’ to be in abundance.

As for now, we need more researches to give a correct conclusion, but it is evident that the influence of marijuana on mental health and brains can change the way you think and create. You may NOT become MORE creative. You may just change your views on beauty. Your art may become simply DIFFERENT.
