Cristian Valsecchi appointed as General Manager of Fondazione Prada
Cristian Valsecchi is currently Secretary General of Fondazione Torino Musei and Secretary General of Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani (AMACI).


MILAN.- Starting from May 2018 Cristian Valsecchi will be the General Manager of Fondazione Prada, supervising the management and the different operational areas of the foundation in all its departments and activities.

Born in Bergamo (Italy) in 1974, Valsecchi is one of the emerging personalities of his generation in the field of Italian and International culture; former Professor of Economics for Arts and Culture at the University of Bergamo, he is currently Secretary General of Fondazione Torino Musei and Secretary General of Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani (AMACI).

Valsecchi is the former Sole Director of Artissima (2015-2018), General Director of Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana (2012-2014), Operations Director of GAMeC in Bergamo (2011-2012), Project Manager at MART of Trento and Rovereto (2006-2011) and Head of General Affairs at GAMeC in Bergamo (2000-2005). He has also worked as a consultant for private and public administrations in strategic development and management for the museum sector.

The appointment of Cristian Valsecchi is aligned with Fondazione Prada’s vocation for employing figures with demonstrated professional expertise in order to best develop its institutional mission.
