Royal Copenhagen ‘Flora Danica’ cache pot.

PHILADELPHIA, PA.- On December 13 Freeman’s will host its annual Holiday Sale, a favorite among collectors looking for the perfect gift for their loved ones—or themselves. Featuring an exciting selection of jewelry, watches, luxury accessories and decorative arts, the sale is sure to accommodate a wide array of interests and budgets.

For those interested in all that glitters, the generous assortment of diamonds will highlight the sale. Lot 1 (estimate $2,500-3,500), a gorgeous diamond heart pendant-brooch, boasts an estimated total diamond weight of 6.0 carats and is suspended from a 14-karat white gold chain. Lot 13, a brilliant-cut diamond solitaire ring is sure to be a showstopper at 2.95 carats, flanked by tapered baguettes (estimate $10,000-15,000). An equally impressive diamond solitaire, Lot 24 (estimate $15,000-20,000) features an old European-cut diamond weighing 4.60 carats set within an 18-karat gold rope twist mount.

Subtle elegance is seen in Lot 4 (estimate $800-1,200), an Art Deco diamond and sapphire bracelet, as well as Lot 3 ($400-600), a diamond pendant watch circa 1910. And for the men, a classic 14-karat gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual timepiece presented on a leather strap circa 1950 (Lot 221, estimate $1,200-2,500) is guaranteed to please, while Lot 222 (estimate $15,000-25,000) a Rolex GMT Master with the iconic Pepsi bezel, is worth the splurge. Lot 22 (estimate $15,000-20,000) an extraordinary pair of 14-karat white gold and diamond stud earrings is a fantastic and appropriate gift for a woman of any age.

For collectors looking beyond jewelry, there are two iconic Hermès Birkin Bags (Lots 270 and 271, estimates $6,000-8,000 and $7,000-9,000, respectively), in red and green, the colors of the season. For the hostess, the sale offers a selection of silver tea and coffee service sets (Lots 323, estimate $1,000-1,500, and 332, estimate $2,500-3,500.). For those interested in decorative arts, Lot 295 (estimate $3,000-5,000) is an impressive collection of 24 biscuit tins from the turn of the 20th century—many in the form of handbags. In addition, the sale will include a Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica cache pot circa 1954 (Lot 340, estimate $800-1,200). This sale also features 39 fine examples of majolica pottery, from the remarkable collection of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Silby of Potomac, MD.
