NEW YORK, NY.- Gaming industry offers entertaining games to billions of people around the world. It has one of the biggest markets in the entertainment industry. Also, there have been many opinions of games and their impact on human life and society. One of them is whether to consider online and video games as art or not. Monster Casino has made the following content based on the opinion of people on the art and video games.

The big argument
Roger Ebert once gave a projection that games can never become art as the main purpose of the player playing a game is to win whereas one experiencing art cannot win it. There are few games such as Journey, P.T and so on which are beautifully crafted to connect with the player’s emotions. These games exhibit a great level of imagination of the creators.

Crafted games
In the game Journey, the player will be playing as a faceless figure who explores the desert to reach the mountain. During the journey, the player may encounter another player, and both can join to solve the puzzles to reach the goal. The interesting part about this is that the player will have no idea who the other player is. Since the characters won't be displaying any players names the players won't be knowing who the other person is.

The director of the game Jenova Chen says that his goal is to deliver something new since most of the gaming companies do not know how to deliver something new to the players.

It's just starting now
The company which made Journey is Thatgamecompany. A game named ‘Flow’ was released by TGC in the year 2007, the game involves a gameplay of the players guiding a microorganism through a series of two dimensional underwater plains. The same company created Flower where the player must guide a single petal of a flower across various environments. The journey became the fastest selling on PlayStations in North America and Europe.

Also, technology is improving day by day which lets the developers create games with more realistic and immersive gameplay. The advancement in technology creates possibilities for new genres in games. In most cases, the relatability of the art decides the reach and success of the art and games with high definition graphics and great storyline and gameplay could achieve that.

Moreover, the games are becoming more interactive, the players can interact with objects and elements of the game, and this creates more bonding between the player and the game. For a game to become an art, it should be able to connect extensively, and the interactive element of the game could accomplish that. Modern technologies involved with music and sound effects have improved to a large extent, and this allows the developers to create artistic sound elements required for the game. The combined effect of all the mentioned components of the game could produce the game as an art.

The above content is created by Monster Casino based on the opinions and details collected by people on their view of considering the game as an art.
