CHICAGO, IL.- Indie pop darlings Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, now recording as Dean & Britta, bring their languid lyrics and hypnotic harmonies to Andy Warhol's Screen Tests, rarely seen silent film portraits of celebrities from the 1960s New York art scene, including Edie Sedgwick, Dennis Hopper, Nico, Ingrid Superstar, Lou Reed, and Baby Jane Holzer.

No other artists have had access to Warhol's Screen Tests until Dean & Britta, who were commissioned by the Andy Warhol Museum for this project. Composed by Wareham and Phillips, this live, multimedia performance features large-scale video projections with live music by Dean & Britta and their band.

Wareham, originally from Wellington, New Zealand, formed and played in several bands, including Luna and Galaxie 500, which has been credited for shaping the alternative subgenres of shoegazer and slowcore.

Phillips, originally from Michigan, played in the UK-based shoegazer band Belltower before joining Luna in 1999. She also starred in the movie Satisfaction, with Julia Roberts, Justine Bateman, and Liam Neeson, and was the singing voice of the 1980s cartoon character, Jem.

Wareham and Phillips recently scored Noah Baumbach's acclaimed film The Squid and the Whale.
