Want to travel to the US? You need a tourist visa

Who doesn't love to travel? Some people love to visit their country to get to know it better, while others prefer to visit as many countries as possible to get to know as many cultures as possible. Each country has its own traditions, its own attractions and... its own rules. As everything has both good and not so good sides, travel comes with its own little drawbacks. That's why it's a good idea to do your homework before you go to another country, so you know what you're allowed to do and what you're not, and whether you need any extra documentation. This way, you'll avoid various unpleasant situations that can spoil your holiday.

People who love to travel fall into two categories - those who love to visit nature and those who prefer to visit cities. If you fall into the second category, you've probably thought at least once about visiting cities like New York, San Francisco or Washington. Well, if you want to visit the US tourist visa, you'll need a tourist visa. What it is, how to get one and what the conditions are, you'll find out in this article.

About the US tourist visa
The US tourist visa is an electronic document that replaces, under certain conditions, the traditional visa. Basically, it is the document that allows you to enter the United States of America through the Visa Waiver Program - VWP or the Electronic System for Travel Authorization - ESTA.

It is valid for 2 years, during which time you can enter the US as many times as you need, with one condition - your stay must not exceed 90 days.

Obtaining a tourist visa for the USA
To obtain a tourist visa, you'll need to fill out an online application and pay a fee using a debit or credit card. Afterwards, you will receive your visa electronically by email. It is advisable to print out a copy of this and present it if requested. It is also advisable to complete the application 3 days before departure to ensure that you receive your visa by the time of departure.

In order to apply for a tourist visa, you will need a valid passport, a valid e-mail address and a credit/debit card.

Conditions for travel to the USA on a tourist visa
Not every trip to the US can be made on a tourist visa. The visa is only valid for travel for certain purposes, the most common being visits for tourism or business purposes.

Also, not everyone can use a tourist visa. There are a number of countries eligible for the electronic travel authorisation system, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

So, if you want to go to the US, all you have to do to get a tourist visa is check if you are eligible and then fill in the online application.
