The story revolved around Anandi's journey from a childhood to womanhood. It captured her struggles and how she adjusted in her in-law's family. The show ended on 31 July 2016.

It is a comedy based TV serial that started in the year 2008 and it is still running on the channel. It has completed several episodes. These characters are played by Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani. They are currently the most famous comedy actors from TV serials. The show has won many awards and is one of the most liked TV shows.

The focus of the story was on the two cousins -Gopi and Rashi, who were married to two sons of the Modi family. The show later shifted on the struggles of Gopi as she was a simple and innocent woman while Rashi was a troublemaker who always wanted to trouble Gopi. It went off air in 2007 and seeing the popularity of the show, its sequel- Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has be launched on the same channel.
