NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s Living with Art sale on March 28-29 will offer an unmatched selection decorative arts, paintings and furniture representing an array of periods and styles, and featuring works from many notable private collections. Highlights of the two-day sale include European and English furniture and Asian works of art from the collections of Nancy Richardson, The Blair Family Collection and a Private Collection formed for the Crespi Estate, Dallas, TX. A grouping of English and French majolica from the Donna and David Reiss Collection is a highlight of the decorative arts, and a themed selection of Modern and Contemporary Art from various owners highlights the paintings. Twenty-nine lots of jewelry from the Blair Family Collection and the Collection of Robert and Sylvia Olnick round out the sale.

Property from a private collection formed for the Crespi Estate, Dallas, TX
Property from the renowned Dallas Crespi Estate will include 127 lots of Louis XVI and neoclassical style European and English furniture, Chinese bronzes and ceramics, fine art, photography and modern design. Count Pio Crespi, an Italian cotton merchant, and his wife Florence commissioned renowned Swiss architect Maurice Fatio to design their Dallas home in the 1930’s. The Crespi Estate, his only Texas commission, features Fatio’s love for European revival styles, symmetry and master craftsmanship; the objects offered were chosen to complement his design.
