NEW YORK, NY.- Honey Nigam, a New York-based mixed media artist originally from Jaipur—the Gemstone Capital of the World—is thrilled to announce her participation in the upcoming Superfine Art Fair at the Duggal Greenhouse at the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard this April. Known for her evocative minimalist works that blend fine art with the luxurious essence of precious gemstones, Nigam’s collection promises to captivate art enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Nigam’s art is a harmonious fusion of her training as a Fine Arts graduate from the prestigious International School for Girls in Jaipur and her expertise as a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America. Her entire body of work, unified under the theme Life in Minimalist Emotions (LIME), explores the profound simplicity of human emotions. By incorporating precious stone dust—such as emeralds, rubies, and sapphires—into her minimalist compositions, Nigam adds a layer of depth and luxury that reflects the value and rarity of both the materials and the emotions they represent.

“My work is about capturing the quiet power of human feelings,” says Nigam. “Through minimalist art, I aim to create a space for introspection, allowing viewers to connect with the essence of their own emotions. The use of gemstone dust not only adds a tactile richness but also symbolizes the enduring beauty and complexity of our inner worlds.”

Highlights of Nigam’s curated presentation at Superfine Art Fair include Radiant Rise (2025), acrylic and resin, with sapphire stone dust on aluminum panel, which explores themes of emotional growth, transformation, and illumination, capturing the essence of a radiant and uplifting experience; Misty Whispers (2025), acrylic and resin, with emerald stone dust on canvas, which invites the viewer to lean in and listen closely, as if to hear the whispers themselves: and The Arid Gold (2025), acrylic and resin, with ruby stone dust on wood panel, whose captivating colors evoke the warmth and serenity of a desert sunrise, its soft, muted gold, with a hint of beige reminiscent of sand dunes gently illuminated by fading light.

Nigam’s paintings delve into the intrinsic layers of our world and our emotional responses to our surroundings. Her unique perspective captures the subtleties of space and depth, inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty in simplicity. At Superfine Art Fair, attendees will have the opportunity to experience a curated selection of her works, each piece a testament to her commitment to minimalist emotion and her innovative use of materials.
