Kree'arra is a general located in the God Wars Dungeon and is affiliated with the Armadyl faction. He is an airborne creature, meaning that regular melee attacks will not work against him. Instead, players must use Ranged or Magic to fight him. A salamander is the only melee option. Kree'arra and his minions count for aviansie Slayer tasks, and wearing a Slayer helm (i) and black mask (i) will give the player a 15% accuracy and damage boost. Killing Kree'arra will provide you a high amount of OSRS GP
Before attempting to kill Kree'arra, there are a few requirements players must meet. First, players must have completed Death Plateau and Troll Stronghold to the point where they have defeated Dad.
Second, players must have either 40 Armadyl kill count in the God Wars Dungeon, or an Ecumenical key. Additionally, players must have a crossbow of any type, as well as a Mithril grapple.
Having the following skills is suggested to make defeating Kree'arra easier:
• Combat level 85+ (Required, 100+ Recommended)
• Ranged 70+ (80+ Recommended)
• Defence 70+ (80+ Recommended)
• Magic 92+ (Blood Barrage)
• Hitpoints 70+ (80+ Recommended)
• Prayer 44+ (Eagle Eye)
Having the right equipment is essential to making money in Runescape. Depending on your weapons of choice, you will need to have the right equipment for ranged and melee combat. For ranged combat, you will need Verac’s helmet, Necklace of Anguish, Ranging cape (t), Armadyl chestplate, Verac’s plateskirt/Armadyl chainskirt, Twisted bow/Toxic blowpipe, Twisted buckler, Diamond bolts (e)/Ruby bolts (e), Barrows gloves, Pegasian boots, Ring of suffering (i)/Archers ring (i), and Armadyl crossbow/Dragon crossbow. For melee combat, you will need Torag’s helmet, Amulet of fury, Ava’s assembler, Karil’s leathertop, Karil’s leatherskirt, Melee Trio, Dragonfire shield, Odium ward, Crystal shield, Granite shield, Saradomin bracers/Zamorak bracers, Black d’hide vamb, Saradomin d’hide boots/Zamorak d’hide boots, Ranger boots, Snakeskin boots, Ring of wealth, and Ring of life.
In addition to having the right equipment, you will also need to have the right inventory items. These items include a secondary bolt (like Ruby bolts (e) for specials if you are using any), Toxic blowpipe (to kill minions), one-click teleport (such as Ectophial or teleport tabs/scrolls), any necessary god items, 2-6 Stamina potions or 4-5 Super energy potions (2 Staminas for low level, short trips. Maxed accounts use 5 or 6.), 8-16 Saradomin brews or Sharks, 6-12 Super restores, 1-2 Ranging potions, and Trollheim Teleport.
Kree'arra has very high defensive stats and is therefore a difficult opponent to fight against. To defeat him, players can use one of two strategies: Tumeken's Shadow and Chinchompas.
The Tumeken's Shadow is a powerful weapon that enhances adequately powerful magic gear. Combining this with Blood barrage to heal off the bodyguards and the special attack of an Eldritch nightmare staff, especially with the reduced cooldown granted by the Lightbearer, will allow players to remain in Kree'arra's lair indefinitely.
However, this strategy requires almost completely maxed mage gear. Downgrading even one piece of gear, such as an Ancestral robe top to an Ahrim's robetop, will significantly slow kill times and trip length.
The chinchompa method is an effective way to kill Kree'arra. Chinchompas roll accuracy based on the player's current target, and if the hit is successful, then all other monsters in range will generally take damage regardless of their Defence level and bonuses.
To utilise the chinchompa method, the player must have both targets near or directly on each other. Monsters with a size of 2x2 tiles or larger have their hitboxes placed on the south-western most tile, which is also where any items dropped upon their death will appear.
When the room is cleared and Kree'arra respawns, when he attempts to melee the player, his hitboxes will also collide with Geerin, allowing chinchompas to be used on both of them for equal effect. The primary advantage of two chinchompa targets allows players to maintain more consistent damage.
Players should opt for the strongest crossbow (or a twisted bow if possessed) with ruby and diamond enchanted bolts, and switch to a blowpipe when Kree'arra dies to deal with the minions.
When fighting Kree'arra with a team, all players will take damage from Kree'arra's attacks, so there is no designated tank. The team should use the same strategy as described above for solo players.
