NEW YORK, NY.- ART FOR UKRAINE—an initiative created by a group of arts professionals in urgent direct response to the current crisis in Ukraine is launching an online benefit art sale of contemporary works this week. 100% of proceeds from each sale of artwork will be donated to Razom For Ukraine, a non-profit providing critical humanitarian aid and relief to Ukrainians. In supporting this art sale, the cultural community will be directly helping the organization’s emergency response of delivering humanitarian aid and critical supplies—while collectors will be able to acquire an incredible selection of coveted works of art that have been generously donated and made available by artists for this important initiative.

Artworks for sale include pieces by Alexandre Arrechea, Chellis Baird, Christopher Boffoli, The Bruce High Quality Foundation, Norbert Brunner, Tom Burckhardt, Stanley Casselman, Andrew Casto, Peter Dayton, Marc Dennis, Jonny Detiger, Susan Dory, Nevil Dwek, Damian Elwes, Zaria Forman, Josh Friedman, Nir Hod, Catherine Howe, Roxanne Jackson, KACE. (Stanley Casselman and Naeem Khan), Gene Kiegel, Wole Lagunju, Heidi Lanino, Yassi Mazandi, Jen Ray, Samantha Rosenwald, Analia Saban, Suzanne Scott, Shura Skaya, Katrín Sigurdardóttir, Julia Santos Solomon, Boris Torres, Pedro Tyler, Thomas Witte, among others. Artists will continue to join the initiative on a rolling basis.

“The devastating situation in Ukraine calls for all of us to pool resources in support of humanitarian efforts on the ground. We are grateful to all the artists who are generously donating to this sale and all those acquiring who will help us raise essential funds for our critical response,” said Maria Genkin, Director of Donor Relations at Razom.

“We are shocked and appalled at what is happening in Ukraine, and could not sit by on the sidelines,” said Natasha Schlesinger, Founder of ArtMuse. “As arts professionals we were compelled to engage in the way we know best, by reaching out to our artist and gallery friends.”

Art for Ukraine is an initiative launched in March 2022 by Natasha Schlesinger (ArtMuse and Space2Curate) together with arts professionals Yulia Dultsina (Cultural Producer), Leily Soleimani (Independent Arts PR), and Terry Zucker (Art & Design Consultant). The initiative offers a unique opportunity for artists to donate directly to relief efforts.

Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, is committed to bettering Ukraine. The organization believes deeply in the enormous potential of dedicated volunteers around the world united by a single goal: to unlock the potential of Ukraine. Established in the United States, the non-profit organization works towards that mission by creating spaces where people meet, partner and do. In this time of need, they have created the Razom Emergency Response which is focused on purchasing medical supplies for critical situations like blood loss and other tactical medicine items, hospital supplies, and tech enabled emergency response supplies that facilitate the delivery of this aid. Their procurement and logistics teams are made up of a trusted volunteer network they’ve nurtured since 2014 and partner organizations worldwide. They are also working with governments and embassies on helping to establish humanitarian corridors.
