Rare collectible toy cars and trains now open for bidding on iGavel Auctions

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX.- A blockbuster online sale consisting of 200 lots, representing over 1,500 collectible toy cars and trains is now open for bidding on www.igavelauctions.com through December 16th. Comprised of Japanese, German and other Tin Toy cars, this unique sale includes the most sought-after collectibles including an assortment of Porsche scale models and kit cars by Schuco, Burago, and other makers; a large selection of collectible toy cars by Hot Wheels and Matchbox; a variety of slot cars, R. C. cars and other toy cars from the mid to late 20th Century.

Says Lark Mason, “Just in time for Christmas, this is a rare opportunity for toy car and train aficionados to bid on highly desirable collectible toy cars and trains at very low estimates."

Among the highlights are a Jeff Gamble, Spyder Spin, Sculpture on Marble Stand (Estimate: $1,000-2,000); Eidai Grip 1:8 Porsche Carrera Rsr Turbo 2.1L (Estimate: $600-900); Four Distler Porsche Electromatic (Estimate: $500-800); A group of Minichamps Model Cars including Porsche 956L 1:18 Scale Le Mans 1982 and 1983 Winners and 1:43 Scale Porsche 956L of 1982 Winner Estimate: $500-800); and five JNF Porsche Elektrik Prototype Cars (Estimate: $400-600).

A second sale, offered by Greg C. Brown & Associates, Inc., in association with Lark Mason Associates, goes live on December 8 and runs through December 21. It features approximately 50 lots, representing over 180 LGB engines and cars. Many are from the original LGB company in West Germany dating from the mid-1980's to the early 2000's. Among them are collections of G-scale toy trains, track, buildings, figures, electronics, and accessories mainly from Lehmann Gross Bahn (LGB) and POLA-LGB, with additional pieces from PIKO-LGB, Department 56, and Playmobil. The lots also include unusual and rare items such as a Ballenberg 1067 Rack Steam Locomotive (Ballenberg-Zahnrad-Dampflok 1067), LGB No. 20471; a Baumann modified VTG Tank Car with real metal roof (DB Kesselwagen VTG); an LGB/Baumann No. 20/4040VTG/2; and a Zillertalbahn Beer/Dining Car (Zillertalbahn Fasslwagen), LGB No. 3042.

The cars and trains are on view at Lark Mason Associates, 210 West Mill Street in New Braunfels. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
