Is Paint Spray Gun or Paint Roller Brush Better for Wall Painting?

Painting your walls is very important, it comes with great benefits, but at the same time it does have its fair share of challenges. Which does bring the question, is it a good idea to use a paint roller, or should you just go with a paint spray gun? Everyone sees this differently, which is why it’s a good idea to know the pros and cons of both these systems. This way you can assess and figure out exactly what results you can obtain and what experience you can get in the end. It will be well worth it every time.

Using a Paint Spray Gun
Using a paint spray machine is a good idea for a lot of people because they don’t have to roll paint and it’s just easier to use. That doesn’t mean you’ll have less mess, that’s not the case most of the time. But it does provide a simpler and better experience, which in the end can provide some great benefits and results. That being said, there are situations when using a paint sprayer can be a whole lot better.

For example, spraying paint is a good idea if you want to prime some large, new interior spaces. It can be very handy if you have are during the early stages of remodeling. Stuff like this does make a lot of sense, and you have to check it out just because it delivers tremendous results.

It can also be very good when you paint an exterior that has a clear perimeter. That means garages, playsets, sunrooms, decking, landscaping and so on. This will help speed up the process, plus you won’t have to worry about masking items since it’s an outside location anyway.

The same thing can be said if you have a lot of detail work or texture. Paint sprayers are great if you work with complicated textures. If you would use rolling there, then it would take a lot of time and effort. Instead, spraying paint helps eliminate the concerns, and it just makes the process better and more convenient.

If you are low on budget, try the Paint Zoom sprayer machine. Paint Zoom is a very low cost and user-friendly paint spray gun. If you have not heard of it, you may be surprised to find out that in most 3rd world and developing countries, Paint Zoom is quite popular amongst construction workers. It is amazing that Paint Zoom Spray Gun in Sri Lanka sells like hot cakes, considering the size of the country.

Pros
When you use a paint spray gun, the main advantage is that you cover a lot of space at once. Stuff like this really makes a difference, and it allows you to access all the results you want without a problem. To make things even better, you also get to deliver a pristine, smooth finish.

You have complete control over how even the paint can be, so there’s no guesswork and that does help you quite a lot. With that being said, you can also fill gaps between textures and you can have a better finish for the non flat surfaces as well.

It just makes a lot of sense to check this out for yourself, and you will find that it’s a great, incredible solution you do not want to miss.

Cons
The downside is that a paint spray machine can be hard to use, especially in the beginning. You need some trial and error before you start using this. Also, you need special equipment like masks, since it’s filled with toxic compounds.

Paint sprayers also need maintenance and cleaning after each use, you can deal with clogging and other issues. Plus, the sprayer itself is very expensive.

Painting with a roller
Using a paint roller brush is a great way for you to try and paint on your own, without spending a lot of money on a sprayer. Right from the start, investing in this type of product sounds like an amazing idea, and the return on investment can be really impressive.

If you go with a higher quality unit, you can get some pretty impressive results, and that’s what matters. It can still take a bit of a trial and error to ensure that you’re doing everything as expected. But it will deliver great results and value, and that’s the thing you want to pursue.

When you use a paint roller, you need to mask places that you don’t want painted, and those can be quite the issue more often than not. Yes, it can take a bit of a trial and error at first, but the potential can be extraordinary if you do it properly.

Obviously, with a roller, you are limited to interior walls. Plus, you need to keep things simple, as this is not going to cover some of the more complex work that you would need to do. It’s basically the best option to paint on a budget.

Pros
Paint Rollers are great for beginners, since they are super easy to use. Plus, you can use an extension pole for those hard to reach areas, and that alone can be well worth it. You need minimal cleanup and maintenance, which is always great!

As we mentioned earlier, it won’t cost a lot of money either, which is very important to keep in mind.

Cons
There are some downsides however as well. If you want to use a roller brush on textured surfaces, this can be a chore. It will take a lot of time and effort to get everything done, and that’s why you want to avoid using such a product for textured surfaces.

Also, using a paint roller takes a lot of time, and you must roll over twice, which will involve a lot of work more often than not. It’s a very meticulous type of work, and you can end up spending a whole lot of time. Remember that using a roller can also be very messy, so you must take it into consideration as well.

Conclusion
Both spraying and rolling have their own pros and cons when it comes to painting. The truth is that rolling can be suitable for painting interiors, whereas paint spray guns are better for any exteriors. With that in mind, spray guns can be great when it comes to dealing with tough textures and surfaces, so they tend to be the right pick most of the time. However, if you’re a beginner and you don’t want to invest a lot of money in a spray gun, a roller will do just fine!
