SAN ANTONIO, TX.- Artpace San Antonio announced the release of the landmark publication, Artpace at 25. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Artpace San Antonio has published a 272-page volume of never-before-published curatorial essays and full-color images of every exhibition created through its International Artist-in-Residence program from 2008 to 2019. Artpace at 25 is now available for purchase.

As Artpace's 25th Anniversary year comes to a close, Artpace is thrilled to celebrate it with the release of Artpace at 25. According to Artpace Director Riley Robinson, "Artpace has long wished to publish another volume of this importance and magnitude. Artpace at 25 picks up where both Dreaming Red and the 2007 curatorial essays left off." The book traces how the organization evolved from the singular vision of its founder Linda Pace to become one of the world’s preeminent artist residencies and art-production facilities. Until now, Artpace’s impact has not been articulated in a catalog of this magnitude—a publication that underscores the residency program’s longstanding support of working artists and global reach.

The publication includes an introduction by Artpace Director Riley Robinson, who has been with Artpace for over 25 years. Artpace at 25 creates a window into contemporary art with a variety of artistic perspectives. Featured artists include Kader Attia, Wafaa Bilal, Mark Bradford, Anne Collier, Jamal Cyrus, Jennifer Ling Datchuk, Rafa Esparza, Autumn Knight, Rachel Maclean, Tala Madani, Roy McMakin, Rodney McMillian, Ulrike Müller, Oscar Murillo, Narcissister, Trevor Paglen, Adam Pendleton, Cauleen Smith, Henry Taylor, Wu Tsang, and Martha Wilson. Featured curators include Cecilia Alemani, Michael Darling, N’Goné Fall, Rita Gonzalez, Hou Hanru, Jeffreen M. Hayes, Denise Markonish, Helen Molesworth, Franklin Sirmans, and Deborah Willis.

Artpace at 25 is published by Artpace San Antonio and will be available at the Shop at Artpace and online. Curbside pick-up and delivery are available. Hardcover, $60 USD. 272 pages. ISBN: 978-1-64657-009-6.

Major funding for Artpace at 25 was provided by the following generous donors: Rick Liberto, Rosina Lee Yue, Jeanne and Michael L. Klein, Christopher C. Hill and Lachlan J. Miles, Patricia and Juan Ruiz-Healy, Janet Lennie Flohr, Carolyn and Allan Paterson, Jereann Chaney, Claudia Huntington, Jan Jarboe Russell and Lucky Russell.
