Nobody likes having an oily skin that radiates shine like a Christmas tree. Having oily prone skin is also predisposed to having more pimples and pesky little blackheads.

Oily skin occurs due to excessive secretion of sebum from the sweat glands. The process of sebum secretion itself is natural and is influenced by genetic or other factors such as facial hygiene or diet.

If your skin is oily, don’t be discouraged and try implementing in your daily routine the following:

Use Specialized Facial Cleansing Products
Oily skin requires special attention when using skin-cleansing products. And just like powder is not suitable for every skin tone, facial cleansers, and care products need to be adapted to your skin type.

Before you decide to buy the first facial product that comes in mind, you should make sure that it is designed specifically for oily skin.

When removing your make-up, or simply cleaning your face, many dermatologists, recommend using micellar water or cleansing milk for oily skin.

Wash Your Face Twice A Day
With oily skin, hygiene is also different from caring for other skin types. If you think that you will get rid of excess shine on your face by washing your face often - you are wrong!

Maybe washing your face more often will temporarily reduce the glow of your skin, but trust us, this way you will only create long-term problems for your skin.

Excessive drying of the skin will cause a counter effect and the sebaceous glands will try to compensate for the removed oil, by increasing the secretion of sebum.
