Featuring property from Southern California, the sale includes gold and silver coins, noted wines, artworks, signed sports jerseys, jewelry, books, armed service medals, decorative items, and more. In addition, the auction offers coins from a Northern California estate.
The wide range of currency includes a 2017-W $50 burnished gold eagle, Morgan and Peace silver dollars, Australian Victory in the Pacific $15 gold coins, American Eagle gold coins, Lion dollars, a 1999 misprinted one-dollar bill, and limited-edition proof sets. Among the wines are bottles and/or cases of 2012 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009 Château Léoville Barton Bordeaux, 2006 Dom Pérignon Champagne, 2005 Château Rauzan-Ségla Bordeaux Blend, 2015 Château Larcis-Ducasse Bordeaux Blend, and 2010 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge.
There are a variety of artworks paintings, photographs, lithographs, sculpture, and tribal arts; artists include Jill McVarish, Jackie (Jacquline) Hurlbert and Lou Stoumen (signed). Light rubbing and scratching to extremities. Slipcase gently rubbed and soiled. Very good. To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee. Ninth Impression, 1960. In Cold Blood, first Printing, 1965. First edition of Capote's landmark true-crime novel. Signed by the author and previous owner, actor Robert Blake. The Worm and the Ring, Anthony Burgess, first edition. Lot 102: Fr. 1925-F $1 1999 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem. Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Type II inverted overprint error that displays a slice of the previous note from the sheet along the top edge. Type II inverts came into being with the 1981 Series as the BEP began to trim the selvage paper from the top of the sheet prior to the third printing. Earlier this trimming step was done after all printings were finished. Estimate $300 - $500.
Lot 96: 2017-W $50 burnished gold eagle 627524. PCGS SP70. Estimate $2,000 - $2,500.
Lot 62: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Stainless Wristwatch. Silver dial, date @ 3 o'clock, cyclops lens over dial, Jubilee bracelet, oyster clasp, stick hour markers, stainless fluted bezel, case 36mm. Currently running, not assessed for accuracy. Estimate $1,500 - $2,500.
