What You Need To Know About Becoming A Famous Artist

Is it possible to become an artist? Can someone make a real living painting and drawing in today’s world? Could you support a family with a career like this? These are the questions that many aspiring artists find themselves asking today. Can you be an artist in today’s time? Sure, you can. Can you be famous? It is possible, but it doesn’t mean that you will. There are no guarantees when it comes to the world of arts. Just like there are no guarantees when it comes to acting or playing music. On a TV show the other day a famous choreographer said that celebrity wasn’t something you choose, its something that happens to you. This is true for some people. However, there are some individuals that do go seeking it and find it.

Sometimes people do great works and make a living doing it, but never get discovered on a national level. Fame is a fickle business, but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t achievable. Below, you are going to learn everything that you possibly need to know about becoming a famous artist.

You Must Know What You Want
Above all else, you must know what being an artist is all about. Do you know what it means to be an artist? It’s really and truly amazing how many myths there are out there in the industry. Sure, look at history and you’ll see that there were and still are a lot of artists with problems. Look at Van Gogh, he was nearly crazy and cut off his own ear. There are plenty of artists that are hooked on drugs and have funny haircuts. This doesn’t mean that this is what being an artist is all about. You can wear a suit and tie, be a respectable individual, help old ladies across the street, and still make it as a famous artist. You don’t have to be deranged or hooked on drugs and alcohol to be an artist.

It really comes down to know what you want. You already know that you want to be famous.

Get Into Art
This one is probably pretty obvious, but it needs to be stated anyway because it might mean something else entirely to different individuals. If you want to become a famous artist, you are going to need to become an artist. How do you go about doing this? Well, there are plenty of different ways that you can do this, but it first starts with discovering the type of art that you want to pursue. Maybe you have already been perusing some. Maybe you have some kind of idea. Whatever the situation is, you need to understand that there are tons of different aspects of art. There is sketch drawing, cartoon work, illustrations, portraits, watercolors, and tons more.

However, you’ll probably want to start with the basics. And, there is no better place for those than art school. In order to get into art school, you will probably need some kind of portfolio. This will be a collection of your past works. Put this together along with a plan of the type of art that you want to peruse, and you’ll be well on your way.

Go Beyond Drawing
You can ask any professional gambler that plays at sites like agen poker and they’ll tell you that being a gambler is more than just gambling and betting. If you want to be a famous artist, you’ll need to be able to do more than just draw. You are going to need to understand the theories as well as the concepts behind the art. You’ll need to develop proper techniques as well as the different styles of art. Once again, a lot of this you can pick up in school, but you will have to apply yourself outside of school as well. Take some time to network with other artists, learn about the world, and discover every aspect you can about the profession.

Final Thoughts
Any kind of career is going to be hard. Especially if you want to become famous at it. The whole process is going to take time as well as dedication. Art collectors will want to know that your art is going to increase the value of their collection. If you are famous, you’ll be able to do just that.
