LEIPZIG, GERMANY Art aficionados visit the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig on its open day, 01 December 2004. The museum, housing one of the most important collections of paintings, sculptures and graphics in central Germany, moved into a new building and will officially re-open on 04 December 2004.

Opening of the New Building of the Gallery of Modern Art
The new building is tailored to the requirements of contemporary art. Movable walls inside allow variable room sizes and different routes through the building, while floor-to-ceiling glazing makes for remarkable views inside and out, linking the architecture to its surroundings. The opening ceremony will start at 6pm.
