My work is a response to the need to make things, creating a visual language that invites dialogue and asks questions, says artist Barbara Bullock. There is a dialogue between the formations of each element that culminates in a unique visual statement.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Barbara Bullock was named a NJSCA Distinguished Teaching Artist in 1997 and 2001. She is a recipient of a 1997 Pew Fellowship in the Arts, Pennsylvania Council on Arts Fellowship, and Leeway Bessie Berman Grant (Philadelphia, PA).
