NEW YORK, NY.- The master framers of
Eli Wilner & Company recently added a Collector Services division to meet the growing demands of insurance companies on art collections. New specifications include the installation of shatterproof glass for artworks valued at over $500,000, and securing three-dimensional artworks to their bases and pedestals. These precautions provide protection and help to prevent accidental damage and impulse thefts.
The Eli Wilner & Company Collector Services team can visit any location worldwide to inspect the condition of works of art and the suitability of the current method of storage or display. The team will prepare a written proposal to address anything they find that can be improved according to insurance standards, including the following:
· Install shatterproof, UV-filtering, anti-reflective glass.
· Re-frame or strengthen existing frames to provide greater protection to the artworks they enclose or to support the additional weight of the glass.
· Install security hanging systems to prevent impulse thefts.
· Securely affix three-dimensional artworks to their pedestals.
· Contract with specialized conservators to visit and assess the condition of artworks (either oil paintings or works on paper).
· Restore or replace damaged frames.
· Secure bronze sculptures with Eli Wilner Bronze Metal Clips.
· Install fiber-optic lighting system devoid of all harmful ultraviolet and infrared heat.
