MADRID.- PhotoEspa馻 publishes its highest awards, which corresponded to two great figures of Spanish photography
Ramon Masats receives PhotoEspa馻 Award in recognition of his key role in the modernization and professionalization of Spanish photography, narrative capacity of their work and its wide influence on later generations of photographers
Masats's work will be exhibited within PHE14 programming with the exhibition La Palangana at C韗culo de Bellas Artes and Blanca Berlin Gallery
Gervasio Sanchez is the new Bartolom Ros Award, which recognizes his humanistic photography, ethical and professional commitment to the conflicts of our time and impetus to the promotion of photojournalism
PhotoEspa馻 director, Claude Bussac, has announced in a press conference the names of the top awards winners that year after year , PhotoEspa馻 grants to prominent personalities in the field of photography and visual arts. The event was attended by Rosa Ros, head of the legacy of Bartolom Ros, and the two winners.
The PhotoEspa馻 2014 Award, which recognizes the professional career of a personality in the field of national and international photography , has corresponded to Ram髇 Masats .
PhotoEspa馻 recognizes with this award 玹he work of a principal author in the history of Spanish photography , possessed of a wry , fresh and powerful look. The contribution of Ram髇 Masats modernization and professionalization of the visual arts in our country , solo and as a member of different photographic collective , has been key, as well as his influence on later generations. The Festival also highlights 玹he great storytelling ability of his photography, present in the various publications that collect his work.
The prize has been granted before the photographers Alberto Garc韆- Alix, Thomas Ruff, Graciela Iturbide, Malick Sidib, Martin Parr, Robert Frank , Hiroshi Sugimoto, William Klein, William Eggleston, Helena Almeida, Nan Goldin , Duane Michals, Chema Madoz, Luis Gonz醠ez Palma and Josef Koudelka .
The work of Ram髇 Masats is present in two exhibitions under the official section of PhotoEspa馻 2014: La Palangana, collective exhibition organized by the Banco Santander Foundation which will run from June 3 to August 31, and Ramon Masats unpublished until July 26 at Blanca Berl韓 Gallery.
The Bartolom Ros Award to the best Spanish course in Photography has been awarded to Gervasio S醤chez .

The prize, awarded by the legacy of Bartolom Ros, recognizes the contribution of a Spanish personality development of photography in all its fields, either as a curator, author, historian, critic or through any direct link with the environment.
