HONG KONG.- Seoul Auction announced the opening of its new office in Alexandra House, Central, Hong Kong. To mark the occasion, Seoul Auction is also holding an inaugural private sales exhibition, “Cutting Edge”, featuring works by young Korean artists.

“The opening of our new office in Hong Kong marks a milestone in Seoul Auction’s history,” said Mr Jun Lee, CEO of Seoul Auction. “It demonstrates that we are fully committed to establishing Hong Kong as a truly international art hub and to better serving our clients throughout the Asian region.”

Ms Misung Shim, Managing Director of Seoul Auction Hong Kong Ltd, added: “The new office also provides a gallery space that enables us to present regular exhibitions. For our inaugural private sales exhibition, we have carefully selected artworks that illustrate the strong creativity and unique styles of talented young artists in Korea today.”

Among the highlights are The Afro Thinker by Byun Kyung Soo, Brian Drain by Lee Don Gi, and In a Row by Park Yuna. Of particular interest are two portraits of the late pop star Michael Jackson by Son Dong Hyun in traditional literati style.

The exhibition is being held at Seoul Auction’s new office, 1808, Alexandra House, 18 Chater Road, Central, and will continue until August 14 (closed on Saturdays and Sundays).
