COLUMBIA, SC.- For the first time in the Museum’s long history, the Columbia Museum of Art’s membership rolls have surpassed the 4,000 member mark, nearly double the number from just one year ago. Executive director Karen Brosius attributes the success to an increase in visitors for the exhibition, Turner to Cézanne. Entry to the exhibition, Turner to Cézanne, on view for the first time in the United States through June 7, is free for members (regular $15) and made choosing to become a member easy. Members may visit as often as they wish and the Museum offers tremendous value throughout the year.

“Turner to Cézanne encouraged people to become supporters of the Museum, many for the first time. We value our members and provide numerous opportunities for members to experience world-class art, lively events and dynamic programming as we continue to enrich, educate and inspire,” Brosius said.

The Museum offers many different membership categories based on interest. Members of the Museum are entitled to free admission throughout the year, receive discounts in the Museum Shop and on Art School classes and summer camps, and are invited to exhibition opening receptions, among other benefits. Basic membership begins at $35. Premier Society membership begins at $500.
