LINCOLN, NE.-On Friday, September 12, the Sheldon Museum of Art will present new installations in its Landscape and Figuratives galleries. To view images of some works in these galleries, please click Landscape Slide Show and Figurative Slide Show.

Acting Curator Sharon Kennedy said, "In light of the Sheldon's recent name change, our change in leadership and our building's structural changes, the title Subject(s) to Change seemed the appropriate title for the upcoming transformation in the permanent collection galleries.

"This fall the Sheldon will present works categorized by subject matter. Five galleries will be divided into Still Life, Portraiture, Landscape, Genre Scenes and Figurative art; a sixth gallery of recent acquisitions of contemporary art, will provide a current perspective on the subject."
