CHICAGO.- MCA Chicago will present UBS 12 x 12: New Artists/New Work Sara Schnadt, on view December 8 - 30, 2007. Web developer and performance installation artist Sara Schnadt uses a massive amount of string, wire, and yarn to visually map the World Wide Web. The performance work Web 2.0 evolves and grows throughout the month as Schnadt illustrates the connections between internet technology, information, and geography. She is interested in charting how the internet has changed over the past several years from a place to receive fixed information published by controlled sources to a vibrant network of community exchange where anyone can contribute content such as Wikipedia or MySpace. Schnadt performs in the gallery three days per week.

The exhibition opens at First Fridays on December 7. Schnadt leads a gallery talk on Tuesday, December 18, at 6:30 pm.
