One Night, Three Parties - SWITCH at the Akron Art Museum

AKRON, OH.- Co-chairs Jennifer and Tom Towell are pleased to invite the community to support the Akron Art Museum and have a sensational evening at SWITCH on November 3, 2007, 8 pm – 1 am. Guests will travel through time to enjoy famous nightclubs and nightlife through the decades.

SWITCH will defy all expectations of a typical fundraiser. Instead of black ties and one theme, guests in “chic, upscale club attire” will enjoy three different parties in one evening. This unique party begins at Coconut Grove in the 1940s and switches throughout the evening to Studio 54 in the 1970s and finally to a modern-day nightclub in Hollywood , all in the breathtaking setting of the acclaimed new Akron Art Museum .

Ticket prices begin at $100 per Guest. With the price of admission, Guests will be treated to music, dancing, live entertainment, refreshments including a Ketel One Vodka bar, hors d’oeuvres and dessert. Patron tickets are $250 per person and include all of the benefits of the Guest level as well as an invitation to the Patron Party from 7 – 8 pm, access to the exclusive VIP and Patron Lounge and a keepsake photograph. VIP tickets are $750 per person and include all of the benefits of the Patron level as well as a limo pick-up and drop-off and a bottle of Moët and Chandon White Star champagne. The VIP and Patron Lounge will feature exclusive seating, a private bar and food service in an elite area overlooking the dance floor.

Highlights of the evening will include music, dancing on the original dance floor from the movie set of Saturday Night Fever and live entertainment specially tailored to each party. University of Akron dancers will thrill and surprise guests during the three parties.

The Lead Platinum Sponsor of SWITCH is Dave Towell Cadillac Saab. Tom Towell, Vice-President, stated, “Dave Towell Cadillac Saab is honored and delighted to be a part of this exciting fundraiser. We are thrilled to support downtown Akron and help provide an exciting and entertaining evening.”
