TORONTO.- Art Toronto has announced the 105 exhibitors participating in the 27th edition of Canada's international fair for modern and contemporary art, taking place October 29 through November 1 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Representing galleries, organizations and cultural institutions from across Canada and around the world, this year's exhibitor lineup reflects the continued evolution of Art Toronto as both the country's leading commercial art fair and an increasingly international platform for artistic exchange.
More than half of participating exhibitors are Canadian galleries, joined by leading exhibitors from the United States, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Europe. Together they will present thousands of works by emerging and established artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, installation and new media.
"Art Toronto has always been where Canada's art community comes together, but it's also where new conversations begin," said Emily-Jean Alexander, in her first year as Director of Art Toronto. "This year's fair builds on that legacy by celebrating the strength of Canadian galleries while expanding the dialogue with leading artists and galleries from around the world. Whether you're an established collector or visiting for the first time, Art Toronto is about discovery, connection and the excitement of encountering exceptional art."
BUILDING CULTURAL BRIDGES ACROSS THE AMERICAS
Following its successful debut, Arte Sur returns for a second year under the curatorial direction of Karen Huber. The dedicated section brings together 11 galleries from Mexico, Central America and South America, continuing Art Toronto's commitment to fostering cultural dialogue across the Americas.
Participating Arte Sur galleries include Aninat Galeria (Chile), Arrniz (Mexico), BLOC Art Peru, deCERCA Gallery (Costa Rica), Instituto de Visin (Colombia/New York), Isabel Croxatto Galera (Chile), La Balsa Arte (Colombia), La Sala Art Gallery (Mexico), PROXYCO Gallery (New York), Segismundo (Guatemala), and Sur Gallery (Toronto). Daily curator-led tours will offer visitors deeper insight into the participating artists and galleries.
CANADA'S STRONGEST GALLERY LINEUP
The fair brings together many of Canada's most respected galleries alongside first-time exhibitors and emerging spaces, reinforcing Art Toronto's role as the country's most important annual marketplace for contemporary art.
Returning exhibitors include Nicholas Metivier Gallery, Blouin Division, Patel Brown, Fazakas Gallery, Galerie Nicolas Robert, Olga Korper Gallery, Bau-Xi Gallery, Daniel Faria Gallery, Galerie de Bellefeuille, TrpanierBaer, and dozens more from coast to coast.
SOLO RETURNS TO ART TORONTO
After a six-year absence, Solo returns as one of Art Toronto's signature presentations. Featuring eight artists in dedicated gallery exhibitions, the section moves beyond the traditional art fair booth to create focused experiences that reveal the depth and evolution of each artist's practice. It is an opportunity to slow down, spend time with the work and discover artists through carefully curated presentations.
This year's Solo artists are Ursula Johnson, Audie Murray, Don Yeomans, Julia Soderholm, Sameer Farooq, Conchi Alvarez, and Karin Jones, with several artists attending throughout the fair.
INDIGENOUS ARTISTS REMAIN CENTRAL TO THE FAIR
This year, nearly one-third of participating galleries will present work by Indigenous artists, reflecting Art Toronto's ongoing commitment to amplifying Indigenous voices and supporting meaningful representation throughout the fair. Collectors will encounter work by established and emerging Indigenous artists from across Canada alongside international perspectives presented through Arte Sur.
NEW WAYS TO START COLLECTING
New for 2026, the Ready to Collect Art Advisory Desk will provide first-time buyers and seasoned collectors alike with personalized guidance throughout the fair. Inspired by leading international art fairs, the initiative connects visitors with professional art advisors who will recommend galleries, artists and works based on individual interests and collecting goals.
The fair will also introduce the Friday Emerging Collectors Evening, featuring advisor-led tours, special programming, and DJs, designed specifically for those looking to begin or expand an art collection.
OPENING NIGHT BENEFIT
As the McMichael Canadian Art Collection embarks on a landmark redevelopment of its building and grounds, Art Toronto's Opening Night benefit takes on added significance. The annual event, the only ticketed opening night benefit of any international art fair, raises critical funds in support of Canada's only public gallery devoted exclusively to Canadian and Indigenous art.
Collectors, curators and cultural leaders will be among the first to experience and acquire works from the fair during the First Look (46 PM) before the celebration continues with Opening Night (610 PM), featuring cocktails, culinary experiences and exclusive access to the country's leading international art fair.
Every Opening Night ticket directly supports the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, helping sustain one of Canada's most important cultural institutions as it undergoes its most significant transformation in more than forty years.
