PARIS.- Mennour announced the official representation of Ruoxi Jin in collaboration with Cibrián. Laureate of the second edition of Mennour Emergencea project initiated by Jessy Mansuy and curated by Christian AlandeteRuoxi Jin develops a practice blending installation, sculpture, and performance, devised as narrative devices. She works with found and repurposed objects, combined with semi-autobiographical narratives and personal mythologies.
Her first solo exhibition at Mennour, Microclimats, took place in October 2025. In February 2026, she had a solo exhibition, MA Félicité, at FRAC Île-de-France Le Plateau. Her work is currently on view in a group exhibition at the Fundació Joan Brossa in Barcelona. She is also currently an artist-in-residence in the Department of Psychiatry at the Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière.
Ruoxi Jin develops a relational practice of assemblage in which each material element becomes the agent of a sensitive exchange. In her installations, objects do more than merely occupy space: they respond to one another within a system of internal resonances and engage in a latent dialogue with the audience. By circulating intimate fragments, the artist constructs an emotional cartography where family memories, transgenerational experiences, and universal affects intertwine. Through repurposed, obsolete everyday objects, the artist multiplies the meanings and presences of material reality. Removed from their original contexts, her props, tools, and found objects construct a parallel fiction in which malfunction and incompletion transcend material limits. The artist investigates the tensions between function and dysfunction, presence and absence, probing the unstable thresholds between tangible and perceived reality.
Ruoxi Jin graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris (Guillaume Paris studio) with highest honors in 2024. Between 2021 and 2022, she studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven (Netherlands). Alongside her studies, she completed a residency at the Fonderie de Coubertin (France). Following her graduation, the artist was awarded the Prix des Fondations and began a residency at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in the psychiatric department. Ruoxi Jin has participated in group exhibitions at Atelier Win Pantin (2025), at Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in Paris (2025), at Diez Gallery in Amsterdam (2025), the Église des Trinitaires in Metz (2025), at Palais des Beaux-Arts de Paris (2024), the Galerie du Crous in Paris (2024), and Angel Court in London (2023). The artist has presented several solo exhibitions at Galerie Mennour (2025), at the Frac Île-de-France (2026) and will soon exhibit at Galerie CIBRIÁN (2026).
