DUBLIN, IRELAND.- The National Gallery of Ireland presents Louis le Brocquy: Portrait Heads: A Celebration of the Artist's Ninetieth Birthday. Fifteen portrait heads by Louis le Brocquy are on display as part of the Gallery's contribution to the artist's ninetieth birthday celebrations. Painted between 1974 and 2003, the images are of universally known figures such as James Joyce, William Butler Yeats, Samuel Beckett, Francis Bacon and Pablo Picasso. An accompanying illustrated publication, with essays by Colm Tóbín and Dr Síghle Bhreathnach-Lynch, is available from the Gallery Shop (€25 hb).
