BROOKLYN, NY.- The Gallery at 3rd Ward presents Flesh, a group show exploring the Human Condition; pleasures and pitfalls of the body, life and death. Flesh is the basic common denominator; it is the one thing we cannot escape. Flesh gives us infinite pleasure and infinite pain. The works featured in Flesh explore this subject simultaneously with love and disgust. The show was curated by Dana Orland.
Artists featured in the show: Juliana Beasley, Hezekiah Buttermouth, the art collective of Danielle Charboneau, Sarah Eaves and Mark Creegan, Heide Hatry, the team of Mary Magsamen and Stephan Hillerbrand, Monika Malewska, Eric Obendorf, David Polizer, Rob Seward and Peter Koval.
Flesh will be on view January 12 - February 2, 2007. An opening reception will be held on January 12th, 2006 6-9 pm. A performance by Charboneau, Evens and Creegan will take place during the opening reception.
