LONDON.- Christie's announced two exceptional live sales from the historic cellars of Bouchard Père & Fils, taking place on Thursday, 4 December 2025. The morning session, Historical Wines, and the afternoon session, A Celebration of Aux Reignots, will feature some of Burgundy's most renowned vintages and vineyards. These bottles rank among the rarest wines ever to come to market.

The morning session, Historical Wines, features 244 lots with an estimated value of £399,110–£548,100. It includes rare and historic bottles, some of Burgundy's greatest vintages dating back to the mid-19th century. Spanning more than a century of vintages and having been carefully stored in Bouchard's historic cellars, these wines offer collectors a unique opportunity to acquire bottles of extraordinary rarity, provenance, and historical significance.

The afternoon session, A Celebration of Aux Reignots, comprises 254 lots with an estimated value of £504,900–£678,100. Dedicated to the exceptionally special Vosne-Romanée 1er cru and its long-standing relationship with Bouchard, this sale features multiple vintages and bottle formats, representing a once-in-a-lifetime chance to acquire the last remaining bottles from these historic cellars.

Highlights for Historical Wines, include:

• 1861 Romanée St-Vivant, (Est. £9,500–14,000), 1 bottle per lot
• 1886 La Tâche, (Est. £14,000–19,000), 1 bottle per lot

Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy's most prestigious estates, stewarding some of the region's finest vineyards with generations of expertise. The estate remains distinguished for its Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship, astounding provenance, and a long-standing dedication to quality.

Frédéric Engerer, Directeur Général Artémis Domaines, comments, “For decades — particularly at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th — Bouchard Père & Fils was able to acquire lots from some of Burgundy's greatest climats, to vinify and patiently mature them. This auction highlights many of these exceptional wines — bottled witnesses of that era — emerging directly from our cellars at the Château de Beaune. As for the Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Aux Reignots, this superb Vosne climat was vinified, in whole or in part, by Bouchard Père & Fils from 1976 to 2005. This terroir, without question, represents a significant chapter in the history of the House, and the wines born of it continue to speak today with remarkable eloquence.”

Adam Bilbey, Christie's Global Head of Wine and Spirits, comments, "These December live sales offer collectors a wonderful opportunity to explore the depth and heritage of Bouchard Père & Fils. Each lot highlights the estate's enduring commitment to quality, provenance, and tradition. After a notable year for our London wine sales, it is a fitting way to close 2025, celebrating both the history of the estate and the passion of collectors worldwide. We thank the team at Bouchard for entrusting us with these extraordinary treasures.”

Christie's has previously offered wines from this estate in Hong Kong 2024 and 2016, achieving strong results that underscore the global appetite for Bouchard Père & Fils' historic and rare vintages.
