NEW YORK, NY.- Opera Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a temporary exhibition space at 827 Madison Avenue, NY, NY, 10065 (at the corner of 69th Street and Madison Avenue). This new space will host an inaugural exhibition presenting a diverse grouping of artists, running from October 30-November 29, 2025 with an opening reception on October 30 from 6-8pm.

This group exhibition brings together a curated selection of works that celebrate a dialogue across generations, putting artists such as Pablo Picasso, Pierre Soulages and Hans Hartung in dialogue with modern American artists including Richard Prince. New works will be debuted by artists represented by the gallery, which include Ron Arad, Manolo Valdés, Andy Denzler, Feng Xiao-Min, John Helton, André Brasilier, Cho Sung-Hee, and Jae Ko.

Highlights include the weight and stillness of Pablo Atchugarry’s marble sculptures contrasted with Ron Arad’s translucent resin forms, and the quiet spirituality of Chu Teh-Chun’s abstract paintings alongside Cho Sung-Hee’s bold chromatic hanji works. Similarly, the restrained, tactile geometry of Sean Scully’s paintings contrasts with the gestural brushwork of Hans Hartung and Karel Appel, who each channel energy and emotion in vastly different ways.

“Our new Madison Avenue space marks an exciting new chapter for Opera Gallery in New York City. From the first gallery that we opened in 2000 in SoHo to now, we’re thrilled to inaugurate this new space with an exhibition that reflects the DNA of Opera Gallery.” said Gilles Dyan, founder and chairman of Opera Gallery.

This inaugural group exhibition brings together a curated selection of works that facilitates a global dialogue across time and tradition—revealing how artistic innovation evolves, while continuing to explore timeless themes of beauty, emotion, and form.

Artists included in the exhibition: Karel Appel, Ron Arad, Pablo Atchugarry, Fernando Botero, Bernard Buffet, André Brasilier, Cho Sung-Hee, Chu Teh-Chun, Chun Kwang-Young, Niki de Saint Phalle, Andy Denzler, Raoul Dufy, Feng Xiao-Min, Hans Hartung, John Helton, Anthony James, Jae Ko, Pablo Picasso, Richard Prince, Sean Scully, Pierre Soulages and Manolo Valdés.

During the run of this exhibition, the gallery will also appear at Salon Art + Design from November 6–10 (Booth A4, Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065)
