HONG KONG.- Christie's announced the return of The Au Bak Ling Collection as a major highlight of Hong Kong Asian Art Week in October. Following the success of the collection's inaugural sale, which was 100% sold in September 2024, this second dedicated auction - The Au Bak Ling Collection Volume II - will once again present a superb selection of Chinese ceramics amassed by the esteemed Hong Kong collector Au Bak Ling (1928-2019). Highly celebrated as one of the most comprehensive private collections in the category, the return of this legendary collection reaffirms Christie's position as the home of reference for prestigious collections and its commitment to exceptional Asian art.

Mr Au Bak Ling (1928-2019)

For over 50 years, Mr Au Bak Ling passionately searched for the finest and rarest Chinese ceramics, forming an extraordinary collection comprising pieces spanning from the Song to Qing dynasties - China's golden era of ceramic production. Mr Au was particularly renowned for his collection of exquisite Chenghua period (1465-1487) Imperial porcelains. In 1998, highlights from his collection were displayed at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in an exhibition titled '100 Masterpieces from the Au Bak Ling Collection'. This was the first exhibition of Chinese ceramics from a private collection held at the Royal Academy since its founding in 1768, underscoring the collection's significance in the global art world.

As Christie's approaches the first anniversary of its move to The Henderson, we celebrate a year of milestones and achievements with a three-month series of Autumn Auctions:

• September 2025: 20th & 21st Century Art
• October 2025: Asian Art - Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art - Chinese Paintings
• November 2025: Luxury - Jewellery; Watches; Handbags & Accessories; Wine

This celebration highlights Christie's leadership in presenting exceptional art and luxury and its dedication to delivering world-class and unparalleled experiences for collectors worldwide.
