Candice Lin: Night Stone
Until January 12, 2025

The first solo exhibition in West Asia of Los Angeles-based artist Candice Lin, Night Stone unfolds as a central installation; a ceramic-adorned water wheel, examining the manganese trade and its impact on human and ecological systems. Accompanied by ceramic sculptures and a site-specific mural painting, she references the historical use of water to harness and measure time in the fantastical water clocks of medieval Islamic engineer Al Jazari.

Artist’s Garden: Samur by Zheng Bo
Until September 2025

Presented at the Jameel as a video installation amid native plants, Bo choreographed a dance with two dancers and a Samur tree growing in the Mleiha desert in Sharjah. Working with human and more-than-human collaborators across dance, film, drawing and installation, the artist cultivates a kinship with plants as a way to understand and reconnect with the land.

Jameel Library
Library Commissions: Ahmad Nabil
Until August, 2025

In Fetus Exodus, Nabil explores regional myths and legends through monthly digital chapters, inviting readers into a rich narrative of SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) mythological heritage.
