DALLAS, TX.- By the time Heritages November 18-19 Power Rangers Hasbro Hollywood & Entertainment Signature® Auction wrapped Tuesday evening, every costume, monster, prop, weapon and warrior offered in the landmark event nearly 700 lots! found a new home. More than 2,950 bidders worldwide participated, some in Heritages world headquarters in Dallas and all of them diehard fans whod grown up with the series over the last three decades. For them, this was a singular opportunity to own something meaningful from their favorite franchise.
As a result, the auction realized $3,310,929, with countless surprises and smash hits throughout the largest and most comprehensive collection of Power Rangers memorabilia ever assembled, spanning the classic Power Rangers Mighty Morphin to the most recent season, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, which premiered last year.
From the latter series came the auctions top lot: the original hero Cosmic Fury Cannon, the teams signature weapon that combines all five of the Cosmic Fury Rangers individual dino-themed powers into an 80-inch-long laser blaster. After a prolonged bidding war during the auctions second day, the Cosmic Fury Cannon shot up to its final price of $87,500.
Another smash hit was one of this auctions numerous centerpieces: the Transformable Astro Megaship/Astro Megazord hero filming miniature from 1998s Power Rangers in Space, one of the only complete Zords in this auction used on screen as the Rangers spacecraft and battle Zord. Its fully articulated, an armed warrior and battle carrier that still moves like a well-oiled machine and is so complete it still has the fishing line used to open its chest. It opened live bidding at $19,000 and finally realized $47,500 after a lengthy bidding war.
Weapons wielded significant power during this event, with the Green Ranger Hero Dragon Dagger from last years Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always realizing $23,750. And six Cosmic Morpher Hero Props from Power Rangers Cosmic Fury blasted their way to a $17,500 finish.
Numerous costumes worn throughout the series 31-year run realized five figures, among them the Green Ranger hero costume worn by Jason David Frank, as Tommy Oliver, during the initial run of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the mid-1990s. It realized $30,000, while his complete White Ranger hero costume from 1995s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie sold for $16,250. The auctions second day began with a moment of silence in tribute to Frank.
Another costume spurred a furious bidding war early into the auctions first day: the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Yellow Ranger Hero Costume worn by the character Trini Kwan. Its fully decked out from head to toe, including her Saber-Toothed Tiger Power Morpher. It sold for $23,750. Not far behind was another first-day hit: the character Kimberly Harts Pink Ranger Hero Costume from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, complete with foam Power Morpher, which sold for $22,500 after a lengthy tussle between one online bidder and a fan in the auction room.
During the auctions second day, the Black Ranger Hero Costume from Power Rangers Cosmic Fury sold for $20,000, no doubt thanks to the inclusion of the silver foam gauntlet with gold-toned trim and foam Cosmic Morpher with black Stego Cosmic Orb. The Red Ranger Hero Costume from 2023s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, complete with three variations of the Blade Blaster, also realized $20,000.
Villains, too, got in on the action, with the fully decked-out Goldar Maximus Hero Costume from Power Rangers Beast Morphers (which aired from 2019-2020) soaring to a final price of $21,250. The Emperor of Evil also scored big with a complete Master Zedd Hero Costume from Power Rangers Cosmic Furyselling for $18,750. A Lord Zedd Hero Costume and accompanying Z Staff from Power Rangers Dino Fury realized $16,250.
Fans also tussled over the Thunder Megazord hero helmet from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. After a lengthy bidding war, it realized $27,500. That, too, was the price realized for the five Hero Ranger Leather Jackets worn in 2009s Power Rangers RPM.
This auction was a celebration of the Power Rangers legacy and their impact on pop culture, showcasing the enduring passion of fans and the extraordinary value of these iconic artifacts, said Joe Maddalena, Heritage Auctions Executive Vice President. To see every piece find a new home is a testament to the franchises timeless and enduring appeal and the incredible connection it has with generations of fans worldwide.
