ATLANTA, GA.- The High Museum of Art is pleased to announce that Caroline Maddox has joined the museum as deputy director, philanthropy. Maddox will lead the team responsible for the Highs contributed revenue, to include individual, corporate, foundation and government support, as well as the museums Wine Auction and David C. Driskell Prize Gala fundraisers.
Were thrilled that Caroline is joining the team. She is a proven, strategic fundraiser and, given the depth of her experience and perspective, Im certain shell bring fresh leadership to this facet of the Museums efforts, said the Highs Director Rand Suffolk.

Throughout her career, Maddox has led complex, multimillion-dollar fundraising initiatives, including capital campaigns and cultivation of major gifts. In previous positions with the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Georgia Museum of Art, she led strategic campaigns to expand audiences, build endowments and execute large-scale fundraising events. Most recently, she served as the vice president of advancement for South Arts, where she was responsible for assessing, planning, and building infrastructure necessary for creating a culture of philanthropy to support South Arts advancement effort.
Maddox earned a Ph.D. in art from the University of Georgia, a masters degree in art business from Sothebys Institute of Art in New York, and bachelors degrees in art history and studio art from the University of Georgia. She is also an artist and a devoted practitioner and teacher of yoga.
