BOULDER, CO.- The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art presents the exhibit of works of art made by Ligia Bouton. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ligia Bouton's video based works emphasize performance. Within the medium of performance Bouton reenacts simple ideas such as, body language, personal space, everyday tasks and makes a parody from their repetitive nature. Her work has been exhibited throughout the country and recently, was featured in Embodied: Seven Studies in Video at the Museum of Fine Arts, New Mexico alongside notable video artists Steina and Peter Sarkisian.
